Sadhana Venkatesh lit the ceremonial lamp at the opening ceremony pop-up store Ulsavam

Pop-up stores are gaining in popularity in Chennai these days. But we aren’t complaining. Good bargains for the shop-till-you-drop crowd, and an awesome way to spend a lazy afternoon make these stores quite fun.


This one was all about apparel, artefacts and gourmet stuff... and since it was a one-day affair, many trooped in. Actress Sadhana Venaktesh (of Thangameengal fame) and model co-ordinator Thaara Umesh took part in the opening ceremony and lit the ceremonial lamp. Post that, it was all cheery fun and the chatter of getting a good bargain for all the wares.
