Arjun and Parineeti attend Ramlila in Delhi

It was past 11pm and the crowd at the Red Fort grounds was watching the Ramlila, when suddenly, Proper Patola started playing – right after a scene from Raavan’s darbar. Soon, the Ramlila actors performing on stage made a sudden exit, and Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra entered, dancing to the tunes of Proper Patola from their movie Namaste England.

Television stars performing on stage during Ramlila is a usual sight for Delhiites, but to see film stars like Parineeti and Arjun live on stage was something most people in the crowd had not seen.What followed the actors’ entry was a frenzy and a stampede-like situation. Fans rushed towards the stage to take pictures with the two actors and many even managed to climb on the stage, despite several bouncers trying to control the crowd. Though the actors had come to the Ramlila to promote their film, they were hardly able to talk to the fans because of the chaos.. “We request you to please get down from the stage and maintain some distance, else you will hurt yourself. Parineeti and I have got a chance to be here (at the Ramlila) for the first time and we are here to enjoy with you,” said Arjun.
The actors stayed for a couple of minutes on the stage and left soon after Lanka Dehan.
