Delhiites enjoy polo on sunny winter afternoon

On a pleasantly sunny December afternoon, Delhi’s social circle and polo enthusiasts gathered to witness the finals of the Sir Pratap Singh Polo Cup between Sahara Warriors and Jindal Steel and Power.
With 12 goals to 11, Sahara Warriors emerged as the winners. The chief guest of the day was Gary Peterson, and he, with host Mritunjay Kapur, made sure that he greeted all the players before the match.
Perfect Sunday: The stands were filled with fans of both teams, and we spotted many polo regulars here. Nafisa Ali happily told us, “This is how I have been spending my Sundays from the past 32 years, and I know this will never change.” All eyes were on Shallu Jindal when she entered the grounds during the tread-in ceremony with her adorable dog, Chester.
