Just a day before the run, a pasta brunch with the brand ambassadors of the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon was organized.Richard Hadlee and Jackie Joyner Kersee chatted with the atheletes present at the venue while actor Rahul Bose added some star quotient. Former cricketer, Kapil Dev, made a late entry but caught up with the guests as soon as he came. We can cook, too: Jackie, Richard, Kapil and Rahul soon donned chefs caps and tried their hands at cooking some pasta.
While they had much fun and shared a couple of jokes about each others culinary skills, the shutterbugs went berserk clicking the four in action.
Sportsman spirit: When we asked Kapil if he was planning to take part in the marathon this time as well, he said, I have been running in this marathon for years now. This time as well, I plan to take part. Also, for me, the distance I cover is not important, but the fact that I am running with so many Indians and atheletes of international repute. For some good cause: Rahul was a little more vocal about the run and said, Theres so much thats happened in India over the past one year blasts, internal differences and political havoc. An event like this will help bring Indians together again. It is an overwhelming feeling to be a part of the marathon. Its chicken curry: The Indian chicken curry is what had Jackie interested in Indian cuisine. Enjoying pasta at this do, she said, I had chicken curry and I loved it. Well, Jackie, that was sure to happen, what with the curry being an international favourite.
