That’s the question most ask, whenever there is an Indian Premiere League (IPL) match in town these days. It was the same scene at a five star hotel in the city on Sunday at the second last party of the season in Delhi. While Team Delhi lost to Team Punjab, the spirit of celebration at this party had not been dampened. On the contrary, guests grooved the night away with players from Team Punjab joining in their victory dance.OFF TO A SLOW START: Just like the match, the party began on a slow note.
But unlike the previous parties, the celeb quotient at this one was low, though some stellar company from both teams joined the bash. Virender Sehwag came and left quickly, while still dressed in his team’s uniform.
Irfan Pathan was among the first to make it to the party, followed by Sreesanth and
Ravi Bopara. As soon as Irfan was spotted trying to grab a bite, he was mobbed by hordes of fans. The smarter Sreesanth evaded all this, finding criss-cross routes to the party venue inside.
AAJA NACHLE: That really was the call of the night here. As soon as Malini Ramani’s fashion show ended, the ramp turned into a disco floor and on it jumped the guests and the cricketers. Sree and Yuvraj Singh set the floor on fire with their moves, while Sree even got behind the DJ console to belt out a few numbers, making the crowd go mad with delight. Going by Sree and Yuvi’s relentless dance performance after that, it truly seemed that the ramp would get scorched! The music was great and all the guests were fighting with the guards to let them into the cordoned off area.
PUNJABI KUDI: But, when Team Punjab co-owner
Preity Zinta walked in with Yuvraj and Brett, all hell broke loose and guests mobbed the actress. In a tight hurdle of security men, Preity was literally deposited on the dance floor, where she forgot all about bystanders. She grooved enthusiastically to a few numbers, before being mobbed again while on her way out. Kaafi der tak naach gaana chalta raha uske baad.
