Queen of Bhutan at a literary event in Delhi

ONE HALF OF THE ROYAL COUPLE: The King and Queen of Bhutan have generated a great deal of buzz when they chose Rajasthan for their honeymoon. After exploring the desert state last week, the royal couple also paid a visit to Delhi earlier this week. The occasion was a literary event, and the King, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk, couldn’t make it, but the Queen, Jetsun Pema Wangchuk, was there.
PHOTO KA PHOTO OP: Pramod Kapoor, Pavan K Varma and Malvika Singh presided over the evening, with Mala (as Malvika is referred to by friends) forgetting to give the formal vote of thanks! But she brushed it off and proceeded to give it “from the heart” later. The slightly nervous 21-year-old queen spoke sweetly to everyone, but the high point of the evening was when she was presented with a picture of herself that the king, a photographer by interest, had clicked.
