Sehwag throws a party in Delhi

The usually media-shy Virender Sehwag bowled Delhi over last weekend. He threw… hold your breath… a party, and what a party it was!

Sehwag bowls Delhi over: The usually media-shy Virender Sehwag bowled Delhi over last weekend. He threw... hold your breath... a party, and what a party it was!
Ajay Jadeja danced, Suhel Seth danced, and even Sehwag danced! And he had ample reason to – India won the T20 match, it was Sehwag’s birthday, and he has recently had a bonny little baby boy! “So far, we have not decided on any name for the little one, but very soon, you all will know about it,” he said.
And who all were there: Latika Khaneja, Ritu and Amit helped Sehwag host the do. The guest list was representative of the people Delhi loves best – cricketers, and the who’s who of the Delhi social circuit. Kalyani Chawla, Tanisha and Robby Mohan, Mohnish and Alka Bali, Nishi Singh, Shabnam Singhal, Neeva Jain, Sheetal Ansal, Harmeet Bajaj, Dilip Cherian, Anil and Cheena Vig and Vikram Madhok made Delhi proud by making this do rock.

Then there was ex-cricketer Atul Wassan, and Sehwag’s friends from the Delhi Ranji team – Mithun Manhas and Rahul Sanghvi, besides Amit Bhandari.
The comeback man and his lady: Murali Karthik came back... err... came to this do with wife Shweta. “Unfortunately, I couldn’t accompany Murali to Mumbai and missed watching the T20 match,” said Shweta. “
I used to work as an airhostess, but right now, I’m not working and just chilling out at home.” Many guests were a bit disappointed, though, because Gautam Gambhir was also supposed to be at the do, but couldn’t make it. “Gautam had to attend a function at home and so he couldn’t come here,” one of his friends told us.
