At Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College, fun wasnt just restricted to students.
From the principal to the teaching staff, everybody participated in the Mr and Miss DT contest with great gusto. Principal Surjit Kaur Jolly cheered the students no end.
She was all praise for the endeavour and said to the students, Enjoy to the hilt, after all, this is the kind of exposure that you may have been longing for to exhibit your potential.
1x1 polls
I want you all to make this event a success.
DJ Sumit Sethis signature dance steps helped him woo girls. It was quite an achievement to get the entire college groove to his music the way he wanted. He also got the girls jiving to some old numbers like Badan pe sitaare lapate hue, Govinda aala re, Rangeela and Hamma Hamma among others.
Emcee Madhukar Malhotra insisted on calling himself the sutradhaar of the show and added much zing to the activities. He let the fuchchas enact a saas-bahu bickering scene. Some of his Punjabi remarks like Punjabiyan di shaan wakhri, Punjabiyan di balle balle baki sabdi wi balle balle earned him a great round of applause. Reetika Sharmas act as a wicked saas and sentences like, Bahu tum paani main doob kyun nahin jaati was enough to convince teachers of her acting potential. Other students passed nasty and terse comments too. Madhukar was also quick to imitate the acts by some participants.

There were a few participants who spoke what was on their minds. A participant told the crowd, If you like me, raise your hands and if you dont, raise your standards.
Another student said, Mundon ki line lag jayegi jab DT mein photo chhapegi, but couldnt manage to make it to the next round. While Mokshita was appreciated for her Jassi look, Nihita tried hard to impress the crowd by saying, I want to enjoy every moment of this event and would love to own the crown.
It wasnt only for her confidence and dance moves that Sushri Shreya Mishra bagged the Miss DT title. When asked if it is okay for men to cry, she said, There shouldnt be any issue with men crying. They too have feelings and the right to exhibit them. Crying can never make a man any less macho.
The answer won her applause and the title. When asked what qualities would she look for in a winner as a judge, first runner-up Suviya Gadh replied, I would judge them on their enthusiasm, elegance and looks. Kriti Aghi became the second runner-up while Disha Ranjan was declared the third runner-up. Shoot Talent Management model Rakesh Mann gave away the prizes to the winners.
