Hyderabadi tadka
At a do in Hyderabad, all guests arrived wearing shahi libaas!
This half yearly programme celebrated the Hyderabadi spirit in true style complete with silverware, nawabi decor and authentic food. Hosted at Vijaya and Kirti Kapadia's residence, the evening had a qawwali rendered by the members, followed by ghazals by Suryakant Bhatt.
Bhatt has become quite a popular name in the city.
The musical evening was followed by an elaborate chowki dinner. Spotted Toral Desai, Kavita Gulecha, Padma Sultania, Yash and many others. Overheard: “All members rehearsed the qawwali non-stop for 20 days!”
