In view of Poila Boisakh, the Bengali New Year, which was celebrated on Monday, a food festival dedicated to the region was organised at a plush hotel in the city recently.
Bringing together largely a traditional fare, the menu comprised many signature dishes such as aam maach, sukto, Bengali gurer payosh and kosha mangso, among others.
Dressed in traditional Bengali attire, a host of socialities thronged the venue to savour the delicacies and usher in the New Year.
