Miss India World 2019 Suman Rao arrives in Udaipur: I've been waiting to come home to celebrate my victory with family

People started gathering an hour in advance at the Udaipur airport to welcome fbb Colors Femina Miss India World 2019 Suman Rao, who hails from Aidena, a small village near Udaipur. As soon as she came out of the arrival gate, Suman’s family members including her parents and brothers greeted her with bouquets and hugs.
Suman’s cousins and distant family members were also present.Suman’s mother became emotional while hugging her daughter. “Ever since I won the crown, I have been waiting to come to Udaipur and celebrate my victory with my entire family. Aisa hota hai na ki poori duniya ghum lo par sukoon toh ghar pe aake hi milta hai.”

She added, “Waisa lag raha hai Rajasthan aane ke baad.” Suman got into a car and waved at everyone from the sunroof, before heading to her home in Udaipur city where special arrangements were made for her welcome. Throughout the rally, there were pit stops where Udaipur’s janta had gathered to welcome Suman. One of the pit stops saw a girl carrying a framed collage of Suman’s pictures, which she happily took and posed for a selfie. “We have come to see her. It’s for the first time that someone from Rajasthan has become Miss India World. She is an inspiration for us,” said Priya Sharma, an Udaipur resident. Suman got out of the car at the pit stop at Rajasthan Rao Chhatravas where a small welcome ceremony was organised for her.
Jeetendra Rao, Suman’s brother, said, “People have been wishing us since the day she won the crown. I am extremely proud of my sister, and the love that she is getting from the people across the country is overwhelming. We have a big family and all of them could not come to Mumbai. So we have organised an event in Udaipur and at our village so that everyone can meet her and give their blessings.”
