Monologues bring feelings of loneliness to the Jaipur stage

Mini Theatre of Ravindra Manch staged two plays on Sunday evening. Depicting stories of two lonely people, their trials and tribulations, both the plays brought out the struggles of people living isolated lives.

Prema Chaturvedi depicted the feelings of a lonely woman in Dhoop Ka Ek Tukda Written by the late veteran writer and playwright Nirmal Verma, director Mukesh Chaturvedi brought the stories to life on stage. First one was a monologue ‘Dhoop Ka Ek Tukda’ in which the story revolves around a woman who has been separated from her husband and living a lonely life. The role of a lonely woman was very well enacted by actress Prema Chaturvedi.
