As a part of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150-year birth anniversary celebrations, Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur staged a play titled ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’ in Jaipur. The play was aimed at commemorating and rekindling the life and message of
Mahatma Gandhi.
Bharat Bhagya Vidhata showcases Gandhiji’s life and inner revolution that carved India’s fate and propelled the nation to march towards freedom.
The play presents the viewers with an invitation to peep into the conscience of Gandhiji and experience his inner contemplation, through a series of life events. The play has been supported by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, as well as UNESCO, New Delhi. It is written by Prakash Kapadia who has written for movies like Black, Bajirao Mastani, Padmavat among others; directed by Rajesh Joshi of 'Code Mantra' and 'Yugpurush' fame and orchestrated by Dharmessh Mehta. Produced a broadway level with an astounding total of 60 characters, Bharat Bhagya Vidhata is an engaging play which takes you along a journey of emotions.
Launched in March 2019, the play has successfully staged over 80 house full shows in Hindi and Gujarati across the nation. Bharat Bhagya Vidhata has also been staged at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the presence of President of India Ram Nath Kovind.
