The Ministry of Human Resource Development in association with the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation has launched the Swachh Bharat Summer Internship 2018 Scheme. Under this scheme, the IIS University formed a center for Swachh Bharat-Swasth Bharat in which 33 students gave their services to Muhana village.
Nodal Officer, Dr Aarti Sharma informed, “The students got an opportunity to work with the village community for building a sustainable system for improving the overall sanitation and hygiene of the village.
Under this scheme, the students carried out specific activities related to sanitation. The students accompanied by the faculties performed nukkad natak and also made the local people watch a movie based on hygiene.”
“Under this internship program, students are doing their best to bring change in the people living in Muhana village through information-education-communication,” added Dr Aarti.
