Amitabh Bachchan, Jayaram and Nivin Pauly among stars at Navaratri celebrations

The stars and political leaders were out in force at the Navaratri celebrations of Thrissur-based jewellery businessmen T S Kalyanaraman, and sons Rajesh and Ramesh Kalyanaraman. Gathering at the Kalyan residence, the celebrities dressed in their traditional best seemed to be in high spirits, amidst the stunning decorations. The big names from various industries, including Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhu, Vijay Sethupathi, Amala Nagarjuna, Jayaram, Nivin Pauly, Tovino, Neeraj Madhav and Samyukta Menon, lit lamps to celebrate the festival.

Apart from an ornamental pandal and bells and gilded lotus decoupage, the eye-popping decorations included the ‘bommai kolu’, where idols of gods and goddesses are kept on odd numbered steps.
