Nandu Leo rocks his way to 60

aka Nandakumar, who is considered as the face of rock music in the city, rang in his 60th birthday in true rock and roll style on Sunday at Vyloppilli Samskrithi Bhavan. The birthday bash was attended by his friends and bandmates, and even had a rock concert featuring 22 musicians who had joined Nandu in various musical endeavours during the 70s and 80s.

Nandu and his team including his daughter Cindy belted out classics and popular rock numbers, as the audience grooved to the beats. The evening also turned out to be a special gathering of friends who are settled across the world. His buddies, Antony Issac, Benny, Biju SP, Darshan Shankar, David Kurian, Ravi Kumar, drummer Pinson Correia and Martin John were some of the artistes who attended the birthday bash.

Nandu also spared a moment during the celebration to reminisce about his pals including late John Antony, former lead guitarist of the Karnatriix band.
