The art gallery at Museum auditorium became a space to showcase the various portraits by aspiring artists from a city-based art academy. The exhibition titled Puthu Pulari displayed over 300 paintings done by 200 children ranging from the age group of 8 to 13. Nature, murals, movie characters, gods, people and their faces, surroundings etc. became the subjects for young artists to create paintings using different mediums crayons, water colour, oil painting and, acrylic, mural.
Apart from paintings, the exhibition also featured handmade painted pots and terracotta exhibits. The exhibition which was inaugurated by Minister for Tourism and Devaswom Kadakampally Surendran, on Sunday will conclude on May 31.
