The one-and-half hour long Kathakali adaptation written and directed by versatile artiste Sadanam K Harikumaran enthralled the art enthusiasts at Vyloppilli Samskrithi Bhavan on Tuesday. The event was held as part of the monthly cultural fiesta titled Samskrithi organised by the Vyloppilli Samskrithi Bhavan.
The mythological story of the demon Bhasmasura and how he got killed through his own granted boon from lord Shiva was interpreted through Kathakali mudras by the artistes. Sadanam Shijumon, Sadanam Manikandan and Sadanam Sreenath gave life to the characters lord Shiva, Bhasmasura and Mohini in the play.
