Parents and kids’ field day at Tolly Club

The seventh season of The East Zone Feeder and Sub-Junior Golf Tour, which is an initiative of the Indian Golf Union (IGU), took place recently at Tolly Club. The two-day tournament featured contestants aged between seven and 18 years. The golf tour, over the years, has seen an increase in the number of young participants.

The tour consists of a total of eight tournaments and a national final.The final, that is slated to happen in end-October will be played over five days and the field will consist of top players from the zonal tours held across the country.The young golfers teed off around 7.30 am and this was followed by the parent-child putting competition. Winners of the Kolkata chapter included Laxmikant Das, Somprit Das, Varish Mohta, Anaahat Bindra, Sana Hussain and Ribhav Verma, among others.
