The golf tournament Kolkata Masters 2018 that took place recently at Royal Calcutta Golf Club (RCGC) was the fourth edition of the Indian Golf Union’s (IGU) eastern amateur circuit. The two-day event saw around 90 golfers, from all across the country, swinging it in style on the lush green course of the club.
The participants of the tournament were all national golfers who came together to take part in this tournament.
We spotted golfer Rajeev Mohta, individual silver medallist of Asian Games, playing along with Bunny Lakshman Singh, who’s also a gold medal winner in the Asian Games.
Golfer Indrajit Bhalotia, who's closely associated with the tournament, said, “This is one of the biggest amateur events in Eastern India and the first one where seniors, super seniors and mid amateurs, all play together. This tournament is like a stepping stone for the amateur golfers from Eastern India to be a part of a national tournament.”
