Violin Brothers to perform with dancers

Deb Sankar Roy and Jyoti Sankar Roy, who are popularly known as Violin Brothers, are to perform in the city and for the first time they are going to perform a duet along with a dance recital. Deb Sankar said that they have got a twenty-minute slot and they will be playing four compositions. “There will be one composition based of Vivaldi’s work, while other two will be based on Bhairavi and Kalabati ragas,” he added.
While the brothers will be playing the violins, a dance troupe will perform alongside. “This is something we have never done before and I am sure, this will be fun and interesting,” Deb Sankar added. Besides this, Violin Brothers are also busy with a French project. The duo have recently joined hands with Olivia Villeroy, a French singer, and are arranging the music for a symphony. “Very soon she will perform in a symphony and we have designed the entire sound of the concert,” said Deb Sankar.
