recently.
The evening began with an invocation by Ballari Bagchi followed by a felicitation of legendary media personality Chaitali Dasgupta. Luminaries like Pramita Mallick, Chandrodoy Ghosh, Prabuddha Raha, Choiti Ghoshal, Sreelekha Mitra, Debashish Kumar, Saswati Guhathakurta, Rituparna Sengupta and many others spoke in praise of Chaitali and her contribution to the art of conversation and documentation.
What followed was a blend of performances by some of the finest in the scene. Srabani Sen, Suchhanda Ghosh and
Debamalya Chattopadhyay
mesmerised the audience with melodies like Tumi Kichu Diye Jaao, Shohosha Daalpala Tor Utola Je, O Aamar Chaander Aalo complemented with readings by Bidipta Chakraborty, Chandreyee Ghosh and Madhumita Basu.
The choreography added to the ensemble of the stellar acts. The highpoint of the evening was a solo by the legendary Guru
Purnima Ghosh
followed by a contemporary adaptation of Boshonte Phool Gaanthilo by Sapphire.
Actress
Koneenica Bandopadhyay
entranced the audience with her solo. Rubena Chatterjee, Arnab Bandopadhyay, Sandip Mallick, Soumili Ghosh Biswas and Sudarshan got Chaitali to join in a dance sequence that delighted the audience.
