A campaign to make the city a spit-free haven

An awareness campaign to make the city spit-free was held at Hazratganj. The event aimed to make a spit-free India and prevent the spread of diseases by spitting in public was a great success with people from the city and school kids being a part of it. The chief guest of the event was Abhay Panday,

Additional Municipal Commissioner

, Lucknow and had students and volunteers carry handmade posters with messages to stop spitting. The students also performed a nukkad natak to promote the ban on spitting in public places.

The movement which is led by Priti Raja and Raja Narasimhan, has had the couple travel to over 15 states and 17000 Kms within India to promote the cause. Interestingly, the couple also carries their labrador dog while they visit the places in their car to spread awareness about the cause.
