Lucknowites enjoy dastaan-e-aam

With the season of mango at its peak, Lucknowites recently enjoyed the king of fruit with some interesting mango tales at an event titled 'Aam Ki Dawat Aur Daastangoi'. Organised at a café in Gomti Nagar, the event started with the audience feasting on the succulent mangoes and Jamun. Lucknow’s Dastango, Himanshu Bajpai held the audience captive with his gripping story-telling skills.Tales and lots of humorous anecdotes on mangoes won many waah-waahs from the audience.
Talking about the event, Himanshu said, "Mango parties have been a part of our culture for a very long time, so I organised this event to refresh the memories and also to highlight the connection of mango with the city through daastangoi."

Amid many political and social satires, Himanshu also narrated a story for children inspired from a story by Suranya Aiyar.
