Lucknowites enjoyed an evening race at LRC

Lucknowties were seen enjoying themselves at the first and the last race of the season held at the Lucknow Race Course. Since the weather had taken a warm turn, the two races – one of the thoroughbreds and the second of the Indian bred – were organised in the evening.

Since it was the first race of the season and also the last one till winters set in, a large number of people were in attendance. Dressed smartly in mostly western attire, the guests enjoyed chilled drinks and chilled out.

The excitement was high as the horses were lined up on the tracks. In the thoroughbred race, Rajneesh Chopra’s Blue Berry Cheese Cake won the trophy, beating

Rajnish Mathur

’s horse Dream Deal, which came in second. Among the Indian bred horses, Queen Reshma won the race while Khulla Tara came second.

The other events lined up for the evening also had people enjoying themselves with the most popular being the one in which the guests were awarded titles and prizes. While Sonia Srivastava won the prize and the title for Best Dressed Lady,

Samar Pundir

was given the title of the Best Dressed Gentleman. The Best Young Couple title went to

Atul Gupta

and his wife. Even the kids had their share of fun as Afreen was given the Best Dressed Kid title.
A live band kept the audience entertained in between the races with their melodious music.
