A tasteful evening

The trees and foliage at the Colaba agiary were bedecked in a pleasant garb of bright lights on Saturday night and there was a pleasant nip in the air.
It was a night of happiness for Farrokh and Dilshad Khambatta, for they were celebrating their son Hushaan���s Navjote. Among the early guests were Arzan and Khushnuma Khambatta as well as Kunal Vijaykar and Cyrus Broacha who had his son along as well.Surgeon Rushad Udwadia (back for good from Canada) and wife Yasmin were in good cheer as was Jamshed Lentin (son of the late Justice Bakhtavar Lentin).
Neena Gupta dropped by a little later with her husband Vivek Mehra. Kailash Surendranath reminisced with a friend about his Campion School days. While Parvez Damania eschewed the dagli, his wife Roshni was in a handmade Parsi gara that took almost six months to make!
Towards the end, Vijay Mallya made it a point to attend and dine with Farrokh and Dilshad.
And speaking of food, the fresh pate de foie gras served on french toast with Koolah���s chutney had diners asking for seconds, and the khatta meetha sea bass scored big time! After dinner, people sweetened their palates with the kahlua souffle and orange and mandarin ice cream. As Farrokh had said, this was indeed a ���bhonu with a twist���! But the last word of course was had by Hushaan as he told his
parents ���Thank you for the wonderful party, daddy and mummy!��� and promptly ran back to the children���s playroom where he merrily danced the night away with his friends.
