It was one of those high-octane events that saw women from various backgrounds get together to participate in a car rally from Mumbai to Lonavala, yesterday.

It was one of those high-octane events that saw women from various backgrounds get together to participate in a car rally from Mumbai to Lonavala, yesterday.
There buzz in the air early morning was all about women empowerment. The event saw around 400 women and over 100 cars that were decked up to showcase the cause.
Ladies who were participating in the event wore cloths over their mouths that had slogans written on them, like, 'Nari Kabhi Nahi Hari', 'Bahut Hua Tumhara, Ab Samay Hamara' and 'Say No To Domestic Violence' etc hand-written on them.

There were others who sported bright red crowns that had large white lettering of encouraging words like 'United', 'Rise Together', 'Empowered' and more. There were also a few groups of women who had tattoos of the 'women' symbol on their forehead.

Some of the participants at this event dressed up as women who have been always known historically to be very brave.

Car-Nama, the Inner Wheel Car Rally, is a brainchild of Manisha Kondaskar. It was organised keeping in mind the theme 'Empower and Evolve' and the goal of 'Caring for Women and Girls'.

Women got together to promote Women’s Empowerment and the district chairpersons Vidya Subramaniuum and Renu Gupta were present at the event. There were also multiple sponsors who supported the event wholeheartedly.
