B-town celebs pay tribute to Ashish Lakhia

There’s something permanent about art and its sublime nature. It was an emotional moment as art-lovers of Ahmedabad came together at a leading art gallery to pay a tribute to Ashish Lakhia who carved a niche for himself in the world of art, cinema and music.
Some of the paintings don’t even bear his signature but the canvases mark his unique style. Present on the occasion were Ashish’s longtime friends and admirers.
The evening saw the presence of well-known personalities like BV Doshi, Ketan Mehta, Amole Gupte, Raj Zutshi, Apoorva Lakhia.
Speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the exhibition, BV Doshi remembered his association with Ashish Lakhia whereas leading filmmaker Amole Gupte fondly talked about Ashish’s contribution to his life and art.
Director Apoorva Lakhia mentioned growing up years with his multi-talented cousin and recited a little poem in his memory. The evening was as heart-warming as the wonderful works by Ashish.
