Farrokh Khambatta's smashing b'day party

Can a chef be successful and modest at the same time?
In the case of Farrokh Khambatta, everybody will tell you this is not a contradiction. Emphasising this point, over a 100 close friends turned up to wish the birthday boy a feisty 40 and to remind him it���s time to be naughty!
Zeba Kohli indulged her sweet tooth, Kunal Vijaykar was in foodie heaven.Boman Irani was his jocular best, and rarely was he seen without a small audience of two to three people, sharing jokes and cracking witticisms. Neena Gupta sauntered in with daughter Masaba (who had company in the form of her cousin Anisha from Delhi) and husband Vivek Mehra.
Other prominent friends included Prithviraj and Shernaz Deshpande, Soni Razdan, Darius Soonawala, Jaideep and Seema Mehrotra, Khorshed Mehta, Jehangir Lawyer, Lalit Mulchandani, Gaurav Sekhsaria and Zenobia Pithawala.
Living up to his reputation as a creative chef, Farrokh had cooked up a storm. The feast included bacon-wrapped lobster, salmon on dill, spicy sushi, artichoke salad, slivers of duck steak, tofu in oyster sauce, chicken roulades and the highlight ��� a rum and coke ice cream that everybody loved. Until the wee hours of the morning, friends drank, sang and danced like there is no tomorrow. Indeed, life does begin at 40. Cheers!
