Fun-filled polo final in Jaipur

DOUBLE WHAMMY: A chill in the air and a lazy Sunday afternoon ��� the combination couldn���t have been better. What came as the icing on the cake was the polo season which began recently. Enough reasons for members of the royalty, some of the who���s who of the city and avid followers of the game to give up their afternoon siesta and head to the Jaipur Polo Grounds for the finals of the Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial Cup.While the first exhibition match didn���t see too many people in the gallery, by the time the finals were on, the VIP enclosure was almost packed. MP Jyotiraditya Scindi, who came in early with wife Priyadarshini Raje Scindia, was seen following the match keenly in between chatting with friends and cheering for the teams. While he was seen leaving early, Priyadarshini stayed right till the end chatting with Vikramaditya and Chitrangada Singh.
MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN: MP and industrialist Naveen Jindal came in with wife Shallu Jindal, son Venkatesh and daughter Yeshaswini, just before the final match was slated to begin. And that came as a great morale booster for his own polo team that was playing the finals. Little Yeshaswini made sure she rendered wholesome support for dad���s team by cheering for them throughout and that sure did the team good as they emerged winners after what was a truly nail biting finish. ���It���s definitely great that my team won after what was a really close match,��� said Naveen. After two hours of non-stop action on the field, the high tea came as a delight as people bonded over a sumptuous spread of snacks.
