Theme: Inspired by the popular Marathi television show, Jai Malhar, the sword-holding idol at this mandal is in the form of Malhar, a revered Hindu deity, also considered a reincarnation of Shiva.Adapting to contemporary times, the sword in the Ganpati’s hand is symbolic of anti-corruption. Height of the moorti: 10 ft Timings: Open 24 hours Number of visitors: Approx 2500 per day Shekhar Ravjiani: We have been getting Ganpati at my nani’s place since I was a kid. I used to stay there for 11 days and the entire family would get together. It was lovely seeing every single member you hadn’t met in a long time. A fruit platter would be served to Ganpati and everyone would be given that as prasad. I used to finish the entire platter and not leave anything for anyone. I do that even now. After the aarti, I run for the fruit platter.

Theme: The architecture from the famous Jejuri temple of Khandoba at Satara has been replicated at this mandal. However, the main attraction here is the tall, overpowering idol of Mumbai Cha Raja. The handmade idol adorns a five-and-a-half kilo gold necklace apart from gold embellished feet and hand and is insured for ` 25 crore.
