“Art as part of the curriculum is an ignored zone. There is so much of scope in arts — right from sculpture, painting, music, filmmaking to theatre. Students are misguided and do not know which career to choose from,” said Amole Gupte. Narendra K Ahmed too is of the opinion that students lack vocational guidance. “There’s always lack of awareness about any field that’s new like fashion designing. People think that it’s all about glamour and Page 3, but that’s not true. It’s a lucrative career,” said the designer. Terence Lewis however is going to help the students do a reality check. “There are plus as well as negative points in any field. I’m going to highlight both as many have wrong ideas about my field in particular,” said the dancer. Ad filmmaker Prahlad Kakar thinks that there’s nothing as creativity. “It’s all about day dreaming. You need to dream and remember your dreams and follow them. Don’t be scared to follow your passion coz if you lack passion, you’ll just be another mediocre professional,” he said.
