With the objective to spread awareness about women’s health related issues and breast cancer in particular, the Pinkathon Marathon encourages women to adopt an active lifestyle by means of running. They were joined by The Westin Garden City who follow the principles of the six pillars of wellness, motivating its patrons to stay well and stay healthy with its Move Well pillar.
Reiterating their stance on propagating wellness, the hotel recently organised a cook-off session between Milind Soman and Chef Rahul Dhavale, Executive Chef at The Westin. Health enthusiasts who participated enjoyed some luscious Pink Mocktails and savored the dishes cooked up by the two masterminds while also gathering tips to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Talking about the event, Chef Dhavale shared, “Cooking for a cause is always good. Resonating the six wellness pillars of our hotel – Eat Well, Move Well, Play Well, Work Well, Feel Well, Sleep Well; that help guests maintain their well-being, this cook-off session was a perfect balance between eating healthy and living a healthy and fit lifestyle. In a span of 45 minutes, I made a salad of Roasted Sweet Potato and Squash, Amaranth and Goat’s Cheese Galettes, Quinoa, seeds and leaves whereas Milind made a Black Rice and Avocado Salad. It was overall a fun, inspirational and a learning experience. Milind Soman, being the epitome of fitness that he is was at his usual best – enthralling the audience with his motivational life journey.
