Tera Khayal

’, a beautiful contemporary ghazal, sung by Kaushiki Chakraborty, composed by Deepak Pandit and penned by Manoj Muntashir was released in the presence of music stalwarts.

The singer Kaushiki rendered this love ballad, a new-age ghazal, beautifully

. From a well-renowned musical family of Kolkata, Kaushiki is known for her repertoire of Khyals and Thumris. She has been recognized for her talent by many National and International organizations. In 2005, BBC awarded Kaushiki Chakraborty for her outstanding achievement in music when she was only 25 years old.

“Ghazals are such a beautiful part of my life and ‘Tera Khayal’ is so well written. It was an amazing experience to sing and shoot for this track,” said Kaushiki.

Deepak, an ace violinist and a fabulous composer, is also known for Times Music’s ‘Humnasheen’ that was sung by Shreya Ghoshal. Lyricist Manoj is known for ‘Teri Galliyan’, ‘Phir Bhi Tumko Chaahunga’, ‘Kaun Tujhe’ and other Bollywood hits.

The lyrics of ‘Tera Khayal’ are so beautiful and Kaushiki has sung the composition beautifully. I wanted to make sure we do justice with the music and I am very happy with how everything has turned out. Thanks to our trio,” said Deepak. Talking about he song, Manoj said, “This song is very close to my heart and I am very glad that Kaushiki and Deepak got together to create such a beautiful melody.”
