Wedding reception of MLA Shetty’s son

The wedding reception of senior MLA Jagannath Shetty’s son was held on the eve of Valentine’s Day and needless to say, the proud parents Jaganath and Mitra Shetty ensured that the politico-heavy function was a memorable affair.
The newly-weds Amit and Veena Shetty were delighted to receive a personalised letter from Sonia Gandhi wishing them all the best for the future and to make up for her absence from the function.Amit’s brother Samit Shetty, who had arranged the function, was seen looking after the minutest details and was personally attending to every guest. Even though the guest list included the who’s who of the political world, there was no differenciation made between the them and the other guests. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ashok Chavan, Vilasrao Deshmukh and Manohar Joshi greeted each other warmly.
The CM was joined later by Union Minister Gurudas Kamath who was present with his wife Maharookh and the duo proceeded to have a light-hearted discussion. Other political heavy-weights who attended the do included Veerapa Moily, Manikrao Thakre, Subhodh Kant Sahay, Janardhan Poojary, Krishna Hegde, Sanjay Patil, Sachin Ahir, Baba Siddiqui and others. Close friend Jackie Shroff and Manmohan Shetty were also present at the occasion. The party continued till way past midnight when the happy couple’s parents even celebrated Valentine’s Day!
