It was a blending of two different cultures - when Dr Abhishek Garg tied the nuptial knot with Dr Shinjini Mukherjee. Not just relatives of the couple, even their firangi friends from Belgium and Finland were drenched in traditional fun as they lapped up Indian rituals eagerly.
Hannelore Maes said, "This is our first trip to India and the first ever experience of an Indian wedding. Though the saree is really hard to carry, I think it's extremely feminine. Indian women look so pretty in it!" The cynosure of all eyes were two guys, Alex Van Vliet and Tom Verfaillie who sported pagdis with elan. Said Tom, "Since I've no hair, it helps me hide my bald head as well!"
Trying to understand the rituals was Agostinis Patricia who said, "In our custom the bride and groom can relax, move around and completely chill during the wedding. Here, the couple has to go through so many rituals. It must be tiring. Hats off to their patience!"
