A painting exhibition titled Ganesh Ki Chiteri, turned out to be the most colourful tribute one could pay to Lord Ganesha, the bestower of fortune and prosperity. Organised at Samanvai Art Gallery, the exhibition displayed works of artist Vinay Trivedi who made an attempt to capture 13 different moods of the Elephant God through his bright and lively images.
Ganapati Bappa is known for His knowledge and intelligence. He is an international deity today and I get immense joy by painting Him, said Vinay.
Vinays images present the various moods of the Elephant God playful, dancing, rebellious and even His cool aquatic reincarnation called His Matsya Avtar. The artist also seems to be fascinated by the early childhood of Ganesha and painted Baal Ganesha using bright hues. Vinay has played very well with colours and has made liberal use of symbols like banana leaves, the sacred mice and ladoos that bring his images to life, said Tarun Raj Panachal a visitor.
The trademark of Vinays paintings is the unique style with which he intersperses shlokas and mantras written in Sanskrit along with his images. The mantras are considered very auspicious in Hindu mythology and this is the reason why I have made ample use of them. They also create a unique texture on the canvas, said Vinay.
