This one proved to be a unique way of celebrating Valentines’ Day. A city-based radio station invited couples for a free ride across town on a bus.
The idea was to promote public transport, of course, and recently married MLA Hibi Eden flagged off the journey along with his wife Anna Lynda.
It was another matter that there were not many couples on the ride, but there were enough lonely but hopeful hearts around to make the most of what was on offer.

The bus itself was decorated with purple, heart-shaped balloons. Musicians and magicians entertained the lucky passengers, who also took home Valentine gifts.
