Bravery, beauty and the beast
Under a sweltering summer sun, at the Mahalaxmi racecourse in Mumbai, a day of bravery, beauty and the beast was celebrated amidst much fervour. And, why ‘bravery, beauty and the beast’?
Well, bravery because there were awards given to the three policemen who were killed in the terrorist attacks. Beauty, because of the three fashion segments that took place during the day and the beast for the two top quality races.
Maureen Wadia, the lady behind the beauty pageants, looked over the proceedings and the ladies with a trained eye. The Poonawallas were represented in strength, with Cyrus, Adar, Simone and Natasha Poonawalla being there. Vivek Jain personally looked after his guests and looked upbeat despite the heat. Now, the race next weekend is the topmost thing on his mind.
