Since the time Anup Mishra has been appointed the new chief secretary of UP, he must have attended quite a few parties thrown in his honour.
The recent one was hosted by Dr RK Sharma, the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences director, and was attended by the various HoDs at the hospital. Dr Sharma ensured he was at the entrance to welcome the special guest personally.
Time Time Ki Baat: The guest of honour arrived almost half an hour late, which shouldn’t really be considered late by Indian standards. His better half Amita was perhaps making her first appearance at a social gathering since her hubby became the chief secretary. But the couple didn’t arrive alone. With the duo came bureaucrats GB Patnaik and Kapil Dev.
Ladies First: Looks like the new chief secretary is a rather chivalrous man. When Mishra was presented with a bouquet of flowers, he pointed towards his wife and said, “To the lady first.” Or is it the Mayawati effect?
Old Makes Way For The New: After his welcome address for Mishra, Dr Sharma was overheard saying, “We wanted to invite both, the former chief secretary Atul Gupta and the present one. But Atul Gupta was not in town.”
Later, Mishra mingled with all the docs, and was seen having a hearty conversation with Dr UK Mishra and Dr Rajan Saxena. Dr Shubha was seen trying to keep Amita entertained.
