It was a rocking night alright. In the finals of the Battle of the Bands, the stage was set for a grand showdown between the two bands Suspended Animation and 9 who had made the final cut.
RLA, one of the oldest bands in Pune, enthralled all with some fantastic renditions of covers of acts like Metallica, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath and Santana which had the crowds screaming for more.

And, when the winners of I-Rock Silver took the stage, they had everyone in a frenzy with their fantastic originals and histrionics on stage.
Suspended Animation was the first finalist band to perform. They performed five songs all covers of heavy metal and classic rock bands like Iron Maiden and Whitesnake. The Hind rock band 9 came next with three originals, one cover of a track by the Pakistani rock band, Call, and one song by the Bengali rock band, Fossils, on the theme of AIDS, which was translated in Hindi.
It was a heart-stopping moment when the results were about to be announced by the host Behram. Ultimately, 9 was adjudged the winner of The Battle of The Bands, who had, in fact, reached the finals as a wild card entry based on an astounding number of audience votes.
The entire show was organised to promote the cause of HIV-AIDS awareness amongst the youth of the city. Everyone, including the crowd and the performers, sported the red ribbon to support the endeavour. The winners, 9, will now open for Agnee on World Aids Day, today, at a mega concert. So, keep rocking Pune!
