This evening was quite different for the otherwise busy docs of the city. What brought them together was the musical programme 'Bhairav Se Bhairavi Tak,' which was organised by Academy of Medical Sciences recently.
Scintillating performance
When we caught up with Dr Sudhir Bhave who got applause for his singing performance, he said, "Our basic aim of organising this event was to simplify Hindustani classical music and thus we had 25 songs based on different ragas.
I sang four songs Laga chunari mein daag, Kuhu kuhu bole, Akhiyan sang akhiya laage, and Woh jab yaad aaye. And my wife Shubhangi enjoyed a lot. I was amazed to see my daughter Neha present throughout the event. It was a satisfying musical evening based on a new concept."
Beautiful!
Dr Amruta Mahajan was seen enjoying every bit of the event. Excitedly she said, "It was an entertaining experience as every detail of a raag was explained so beautifully. Though youngsters are not so inclined towards classical music, yet classical is the base of music industry. It was a relaxing evening alright!"
