Party-hearties organised a underworld-themed ‘Don’ party in Kanpur

With so much bhaigiri happening all around and also a film released on the underworld recently, the party-hearties in the city too got inspired and organised a ‘Don’ party.
The venue too was decorated like a don’s den with artificial gold coins, chains and posters of films of dons. “We wanted to do something different and that’s why we decided to have a party on the underworld theme,” said Bharat Garg, one of the organisers.
The guests made all efforts to dress up like the mafia with men sporting pipes, black overcoats and dark glasses and the women dressed up as molls. Rajeev Malhotra arrived looking every bit a don and also carried a brief-case to complete the picture while wife Pooja wrapped a bright red faux fur stole a la Mona darling, the reel-life don’s arm-candy.
Songs like “Ae Ganpat Chal Daru Laa”, “Ganda Hai Par Dhanda Hai” and “Mein Hoon Don” were played to add the finishing touch to the theme. We spotted Akhilesh, Abha, Ruchi, Sandeep and Raman enjoying the party. Noopur was spotted adjusting Bharat’s tie like a dutiful wife.
