FARE THEE WELL: The management students of a private college in the city organised a farewell party for the students in the college campus recently. "The idea behind this event was to bid a cheerful adieu to the students passing out this year, as well as give them memories to cherish,” said Chirag, a second-year student. The event started with the lighting of the lamp by the Dean Dr Vivekanand Pandey, followed by his speech.
FASHION QUOTIENT: The dress code for the party was black tie, which was followed by all the seniors.
While the girls stole the show in their colourful evening gowns, the guys looked dapper in their suits. Anisha Pandey, a final-year BBA student, carried her green gown well, which she had especially got designed for the function.
THE SHOW BEGINS: The program, anchored by Rohit Kishan and Somya Supreet, was enjoyed by everyone. The bash started with a welcome dance on the song Deva O Deva by Sanjukta Ghosh, followed by another dance performance by a group of students on the song Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. All the more exciting was the ramp walk by the final year students, at the end of which Nivedita and Prateek Mishra were crowned the winners. Titles and mementos were given to all the outgoing students, after which the DJ took over the stage. Songs like Chaar Botal Vodka and Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan were requested by the students, along with a few Bhojpuri numbers as well.
