High on energy, talent, and entertainment: JOY Times Fresh Face Season 14 auditions held in city colleges

After a pause of two years, JOY Times Fresh Face Season 14 made a solid comeback with the first round of auditions in Pune's MIT WPU, Kothrud and Flames University. Students were filled with enthusiasm as they were ready to give their best shot on the stage of JOY Times Fresh Face Season 14. With over 50 registrations each from both colleges, students brought some extremely unique and entertaining acts on stage.

It’s back with a bang! After a break of two years, JOY Times Fresh Face Season 14, powered by AcneStar, made a comeback to the city and saw a huge turnout of students at the auditions. At the MIT World Peace University’s (MIT-WPU) Kothrud campus, students were filled with enthusiasm as they presented some unique and entertaining acts on stage. Actor Akshay Tanksale was the celebrity judge at the college and he shared that he was happy to be back.

“This is my fifth year of judging college auditions and every year feels equally fun and entertaining,” said Akshay.

The first performance was a monologue from a Shah Rukh Khan film which was effortlessly performed by a second-year student. Then came a belly dance and singing performance, done by the students of the first and second year courses. There was not a single dull moment as the students put their best foot forward. The judges selected a group of talented youngsters to go tothe next round after going through three levels of the auditions.

Two performers — Nihali Chawddikar and Sahil Bhangire — impressed the judges with theirunique performances, earning the titles of Miss ‘You’niquely You and Mr ‘You’niquely You, respectively. The next set of auditions took place at FLAME University, which turned out to be a hub of young talent.

From dancing, to music, the students left the judges amazed. Actress Swarada Thigale was the celebrity judge for the auditions at FLAME University, and she was in awe of the talent that came forth at the auditions. “This platform is doing a fantastic job by providing such a big platform to young talent. I am going to remember this experience forever,” shared Swarada. Archit Murali’s impromptu cajon presentation impressed the judges and he was given the title of Mr ‘You’niquely You', while Gayatri Nautiyal bagged the Miss ‘You’niquely You' title for her sensational hula hoop performance. A total of 29 students were selected from both colleges, 15 from MIT-WPU and 14 from FLAME.
