Sarhul celebrations begin in Ranchi

Pre-Sarhul celebrations were organised in the Dikshant Mandap of Ranchi University on Monday. The event saw the presence of professors and university students, who witnessed power-packed tribal song and dance performances on the occasion. Sarna Fool, an annual publication of the university, was also released on the occasion . One of the most popular tribal festivals celebrated across the Jharkhand region, Sarhul marks the beginning of New Year.It is celebrated by the Oraon, the Munda and the Ho tribes of the Jharkhand region.
