A group of youngsters put up a play called ‘But, I love you’ at Natrani here in the city last weekend. Touching a topic that every youngster could relate to, the play showed how sometimes you don’t value what you have. Going by the beliefs that today’s generation needs ‘space’ and needs to live life on his own terms, Harsh breaks up with his girlfriend Kajri, for no defined reason.
Through new age relationship fundas, the story attempted to capture the essence of making and breaking of relationships. Harsh attempts to move on, only to realize that what they had was beautiful and though they are no longer a couple, they are still connected in some way. Different points in his life, since the breakup, show him a reflection of what he is. This is not and out and out love story, but instead is a journey of introspection, realized through a breakup.
The open ended play leaves it upto the audience to decide where things go from then on, whether he gets back with his girlfriend or not, is upto the audience to decide.
