A number of Indians across the nation came to their balconies to light up a
diya or a candle in solidarity towards the fight against
coronavirus. And a number of Dhollywood stars too came out in their balconies to bring a spark of positivity and light in their lives. Joining the bandwagon was actress
Jhinal Belani, who also lit up the diyas as a mark of celebration and positivity.
Talking about her experience, Jhinal, who has been part of Gujarati films like Order Order Out of Order, Polam Pol and Wassup Zindagi, says, “This activity might not help us directly fighting the coronavirus pandemic, but it surely made a huge difference as it assured us that we are not alone in this fight against coronavirus as everyone came out of their homes at the same time. As everyone is locked down at homes, this activity made us all smile and feel that we are one and we are standing tall against this unprecedented situation. It gave us the belief that we will overcome. I lit up the diya with a prayer for the whole world that this situation eases off soon and that life gets back to normal.”
