Ojas Rawal on Kargil Vijay Diwas: Let us all never forget their valor against all odds

July 26, marks the Kargil Vijay Diwas, on this day, several celebrities paid their tribute to the soldiers through social media and honored our Indian Armed Forces. In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Gujarati actor Ojas Rawal talks about wars, non-aggression acts, and much more.
The actor shares about the Kargil War battle and says, "As students, we had read history books about the wars and battles that had been brought to India's door.India, on the other hand, never waged wars for resources, oil, territory acquisition, or even establishing overseas bases for geopolitical control and supremacy. The Kargil War, unlike the others we had only read about, took place during our lifetime. And it once again proved that despite being a nation that practices non-aggression and non-violence, it certainly isn't one that will tolerate or succumb to unlawful trespassing or infiltration of armed troops".
The actor feels proud and gives credit to the efforts made by late former PM Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, "I have always been a proud and avid supporter of all our Armed Forces because of whom we all can live a peaceful, secure life. We all will forever be indebted to their immeasurable sacrifices and dedication. Choosing a life of service that may put you in a warzone amid treacherous terrain and inclement weather, just like Kargil, is a daunting feat. Despite the monumental efforts by then Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee for resolving the five-decade-long conflict between India and Pakistan, he proved his mettle in giving a befitting reply to the backstabbing deeds of infiltration by the neighboring country," he expressed.
"Today, on Kargil Vijay Divas, we pay homage to those victorious troops and salute the bravery of our fallen soldiers. Let us all never forget their valor against all odds. Always remembered with pride and honor, Jai Hind!", Ojas Rawal salutes all the Indian soldiers with the utmost respect and ends the conversation.
