Exclusive! Ishani Dave: This Mahashivratri, Rushi Vakil, Parth Oza and I will recreate the beautiful immortal verse of 'Rudrashtakam'

Ishani Dave is a popular young singer who is much loved all over the world. She belongs to a musical family, her father being the legendary singer Praful Dave and mother being an equally respected singer Bharti Kunchala Dave. Therefore, it is not surprising that Ishani too became a singer to carry forward the legacy. The young artist began singing at a very young age and her first stage performance was in London at the age of 12 with her father Praful Dave.On the occasion of Mahashivratri, Ishani spoke with ETimes exclusively and shared details about her latest work.
This Mahashivratri, the singer will be presenting her new song 'Rudrashtakam' to her fans. Explaining that her new song is a tribute to Lord Shiva, Ishani said, "This Mahashivratri, music composer/producer Rushi Vakil along with Parth Oza and I will offer the recreated version of the beautiful immortal verse by Tulsi Dasji, 'Rudrashtakam'. The song says that Shiva is the epitome of balance between passion and dispassion, anger and calm, mercy and punishment. These dual elements of Shiva are represented through the musical concept of vocal harmony and voices in this track. Western harmonies on the surface of Indian classical Raga along with the beats of Shiva's Damru elevate this track to new heights. The slowly increasing crescendo of harmonies and beats will take you deeper into the trance. The video for the track has been created by an Ahmedabad-based production house."
The singer’s last song, directed by Kunal Odedara and titled ‘Vadhaavo’, showed and talked about a bride’s emotional journey during her wedding. Ishani has also given the smash hit 'Gulabi', 'Garbadiyo', 'Papa Pagli' and many more to our generation.
